HTC and Swype

Any chance there is an app to put swype on an HTC incredible that has been updated to 2.2???

I believe you can put Swype on any Android Device, if you can get ahold of it that is, since it is a closed Beta most people are having to wait, although some have had success in contacting Swype themselves and asking for a testing package

There are some worthy alternatives---Slide It being one of them

I think you are right. The Slideit app does not work at all on the HTC Incredible. Oh well...guess my husband will just have to wait until he can get a Droid 2

It works just fine on my HTC Incredible..... maybe try again.... first do a soft reset on the phone by removing the battery while the phone is on. Now go to the market place and download the free version of SlideIT....it works like a charm on the Incredible....
