6.0. anything is Marshmallow. 7.0. anything is Nougat. And you can't roll back to the previous version once you update (at least not through normal methods). I guess the point I am trying to make is....Be patient. It will roll out to your phone when it's ready. A new OS doesn't make the phone any better than it is now, it just adds new functionality. When it's ready for your phone model, you will get it. Until then, enjoy your phone as it is now.

I did the update while traveling I-80 over the Sierra Pass in a winter storm with chain requirements. Took almost an hour and a half but got er done before I got to Sacramento. Just sayin...it can be done on cellular network. No 4G the entire way.

My download started on its own while I was in my truck driving to walmart. No WiFi...I had to quickly cancel it because I don't want the update. I then clicked and held the i (info) button on the download in my taskbar. That took me to moto settings where I turned off moto updates. That was well over a week ago and I have rebooted and to this point have not gotten a prompt to update again.

It's a worthy update, Wadman. Improved my BT. Nothing big changed. No bugs introduced. Moto with the quality update finally.

I don't want to update because I have to use the hotspot workaround. Signal Refresh won't work with N. My wife an I have grandfathered UDP and cannot add the hotspot feature to our current plan. I don't want to switch to the new unlimited because of the 10 gig tethering cap. Until there's a way to tether I cannot update.

Pull the sim, start hotspot, insert sim. Done.
