My use of apps are based on need. I'm not one to constantly text, or to be on FB.

Honestly, as long as I can still play some silly little games once in a while, I think I'll be fine. Most of the non-game apps I use have a website that's just about the exact same thing as the app anyway...

Don't come at me bro!! :)

    I use these regularly.

    Tapatalk
    aCar
    Gasbuddy
    Waze
    RunKeeper
    MyfitnessPal
    HIIT Interval training
    Play Music

Besides Gmail and Messaging for texting. I have apps but will I die if I can't use say Gasbuddy to check gas prices, no. They are easy of use for me. I can still use pen and paper to write down logs. Which I do while racing anyways.

I know 1 person with a dumb, (very old), flip phone who only uses the phone to make/recieve calls. She adores that tiny phone, but the premise of not having any apps in the 21st century would be like having a computer that is connected to the Internet but has no programs. Virtually everything on any smart phone is an app, including the dialer.

I know 3 people who use and love their "Dumb" phone. I would seriously consider it if I didn't need instant directions to somewhere I don't know.

I remember the learning curve of that when I got my Omnia. I was so frustrated at first. It was like "crap, gotta open a friggin application to make a friggin phone call". I used to tell people a smartphone is a lot stupider than a dumbphone.

I'm obviously missing something. Is someone coming out with an app-less smartphone or is this simply a rhetorical question? I don't see apps going away anytime soon so why live without if you don't have to?

Why do think that it will be easily without applications? I think they're very useful in my life now. I can shopping via apps.

You can shop via stores or websites too. How does an application make life easier?

I often use mobile phones in my daily life. When i was shopping on Amazon, it will not easy to operate on mobile's browser. But an app can help me a lot.

I have mine on my person all the time. Apps don't make life easier for me, convenient yes,but I can go to amazon.com on my PC as quickly as I can go to amazon app on my phone. Many paths some are shorter.

+1 for the Amazon app. I use it all the time to make purchases. It's much easier than using your phones browser. As is the Best Buy app, PayPal, etc.
