How to update market apk on rubix 1.8.9

The title says it all. Has anyone been able to update to the new market? How? I've got the apk, can't install it. I tried clearing data and cache, update.zip, freezing it with titanium backup, rom manager, and still nothing. I'm hoping someone can help I'm thinking I might not even get the update pushed to me at this point.

I don't know of anyone that has gotten the market to work on rubiX...
if you apply the update.zip method you can see and browse but the second you try to install something you'll get force closes every time the app tries to start.

Maybe there is a method but if it wasn't in that thread I posted then I'm not sure we have solution yet.

I'm assuming that when it's pushed out we'll just get it right?
I'd rather just wait, personally.

Working great in the alpha of the next version. (It's still very alpha...)
No ETA yet... Drod has some goodies coming hopefully by the new year
