Do I just uninstall z4root or do I need to do something special?

You press the unroot button on your z4Root app. It's that easy.

Now if you deleted certain bloatware then you may need to replace that but you don't need it to remove the root, just for doing an update.

There's no unroot button just a root button. I know I'm rooted though because superuser is installed....

Just has the root button. Do you have the z4root apk? If you'll email it to me so I could try installing you version and see if it allows me to unroot, it would be much appreciated.

z4root needs superuser permissions for the re-root and un-root to show up. go into superuser.apk and make it forget z4root. When you relaunch z4root, it should ask you for permissions again and just check allow.

This is why I don't like z4root and tried explaining this reason to others. Doing it manually is way better than relying on an app messing with your system and you not being able to see what exactly it is doing.
