I think you have to be WiFi connected to do that.
Correct, Connect to wifi is the only way.
Or use a SIP or Skype client like Fring or SIPDroid and do VOIP instead of cellular.
Bummer. Verizon CSR said you could do this with the Moto Droid. What happens if I'm using the internet and somebody calls me?

Funny but really,
if your conected to wifi before you recieve call you can do it otherwise NO.
No, Android can multitask
your session is still running, it just can't receive any new data until the call is ended. Unless you are on wifi them you can talk and surf at the same time. You never lose your place.
