I have a Samsung Stratosphere. How can I stop the backup assistant plus or whichever backup program keeps running? I keep getting these alerts that there is no wifi available to do the backup. I don't want to do any backups, I want the damn thing to stop. I have already checked in my verizon account that I don't have the backups enabled. What can I do to stop this f**king thing? And don't tell me to root my phone.

You'll have to download a program to freeze the app and it's processes. I use system tuner.

I had issues with it crashing several times a day--even though I don't use it. I uninstalled updates (since I couldn't uninstall the app itself) and I'm no longer getting the message.
