    Don't access anything that requires you to input any user names or passwords.

    I don't have enough data stream so that i have to use public Wi-Fi.

    But it will be bother to take a spare phone every time.

    I have 2 phones with me at all times even though only one is strapped to my side. I multi-task. ;)

    Every now and then I get hung on hold with some random support person and need to get other "stuff" done.

    There's an app I used to use called DroidSheep Guard whenever I connected to public wifi
