I took a picture (only 1 pic) using the camera of S4. I go to Gallery app and see the pic there. Inside Gallary app, I create a new folder [my testing now] and I moved the picture into the folder by dragging into the folder.

Now inside Gallery app, I deleted the pic. Inside Gallery I cannot see the [my testing now] folder anymore.

The folder actually still exist in My files app by accessing My files>all files>pictures>my testing now

Even though my testing now folder no longer contains any pic, I want to see the folder exist in Gallery so I can drag new pic to the folder.

How can I let the folder my testing now appear in Gallery?

From whatever view you're in, tap the top left of the screen;

And it will take you to this menu;

Then tap on Albums and you'll see all your folders (Albums).

No, and as I said earlier in this thread I don't believe it does in Android across all platforms.

Nope. It won't show empty folders. It searches folders for specific file extensions (.JPG, etc.) if it doesn't find them, it doesn't think there are pictures in a certain folder, so it doesn't put it in the gallery. If it did, every single folder on your phone would have to be listed, whether in a settings menu or the gallery itself. The fact that it searches like this is why you can put a file called ".nomedia" in a folder & it won't show in the gallery.

You've already basically answered your own question. You've used a file Explorer to see that the folder still exists in the phone. Use the file Explorer to move pictures into an empty folder & then it will always be in your gallery (as long as there's at least 1 picture in there).
