how to root FRG83D

    so i used superoneclick and it worked but nothing would grand SU permissions and z4root just does not work so should i flash 2.1 onto the phone and go from there?

    Try installing busy box.... if that doesnt work, use rsd lite to flash a custom recovery sbf, then the update.zip by motocache installs bb and all that stuff... then flash a custom rom..... the recovery thing is good because a stock rooted rom that was rooted by z4root will allow an ota update and you lose root.... custom recovery blocks the install..... and reverting back isn't any quicker than just flashing an sbf for recovery and loading a custom rom...
