I am so frustrated. I am trying to get the EncounterICS Rom for Droid X 4.5.621 but, like everything, requires a root. Every Root software I have tried fails to work. It is 2013 now and this Droid X has been out for a while. Why is it so hard to root it?? I haven't tried the Linux Md5 thing because it seems way to complicated.

    How do I do this!!!!!

(When I tried Petes One click root, it worked all the way until step 3 of 3, then it just said something about ADB error could not be accessed.):frown:

I'm having the exact same problem. I've downloaded the Motorolaoneclickroot.zip, unzipped and attempted to root my Droid X but my phone gets seized up on step 1 of three at the first reboot screen. GRRRRRRRRRRR! I see that you posted this a while ago. Have you had any success recently?
