Ok mods im sorry in advanced for putting this in the wrong spot, there was not a forum that this belongs in.

Ok so you have an ipod and a lot of itunes music? you want it on your droid?

First please note that this is the same process for downloaded mp3's

step one: locate your itunes music file. (if you have windows its most likely in your music folder.

step two: go into the file called itunes>itunes music.

step three: if you want a certain artist song or album on your droid select and copy the file. note you can also go into the folder and select on song if you want.

step four: now hook your droid up using usb. mount. and goto the droid main drive(root).

step five: make a new folder in the main drive of your droid called music. open that folder and paste the folder or song you want.

step six: un-mount your droid. then go into a file manager i suggest astro. go to the music folder that you made. once you've located a song you want to play. long press and select open as>audio it should open in the music app.

step seven: now all song you add in that folder are now recognized as audio.

note: now that you've open one you wont have to go into astro every time you want to play a song.

feel free to ask questions. :icon_ banana:

Note: this won't work for DRM'd music purchased from the iTunes store (.m4p files). The Droid can only play unprotected files.

Also, if you put the folders/files into a folder called "Music" (and that may not even be required), the music player will recognize them automatically - you don't need to do anything else. If you copy a lot of files, it may take a few minutes for them all to be added to music player.

I don't know what astra is, but all I do is copy & paste my song(s) directly from my itunes library onto my sd card music folder. Never opened any file manager or anything else. Once copied - they just appear on my Droid when tapping the Music widget - as Songs, Albums, Playlists or Artists. Didn't realize there was anything complicated about it. I do know that some songs won't play - and understood this as to "protected" songs. I can live with that. I have literally tens of thousands of songs - if some Apple bought songs don't play - there's enough others that do! ;) mikey

Its a program that sync everything between your iTunes library and your Droid just like iTunes syncs with the iPod.

You can drag and drop songs and movies and pics.
