I was wondering how I can pull icons from the droid theme and edit them as I would like to and then put them back in, I don't want to deal with the whole bettercut BS that I am currently doing.

I have actaully been wondering this myself so I could change some icons. I am still trying to figure out how to make Icon packs as well so if anyone has any knowledge about that too I would greatly appriciate it.

Search around the net for the theme threads, some ppl have written tutorials on how to do it, and here's the section here:

Droid Themes - Droid Forum - Verizon Droid & the Motorola Droid Forum

I haven't done it, but you have to pull the related .apk file from your phone and then change the extension to .zip. Unpack it like you would a regular .zip file, find the icon .png's within it somewhere, edit them to your liking, then repack it WITHOUT COMPRESSION and rename it to .apk and push it back to the phone.

    good luck
