How to mod the Motorola mount for Otterbox commuter?

I've seen mention of folks "trimming" the Motorla car mount to make an Otterbox case fit (without the insert of course). Searching I have not been able to find those posts. Can anyone who's done that describe where they trimmed and maybe post a pic?

with mine, i took my dremel to the car mount, and trimmed off the front inside lip and the nub sticking out in the back behind the power plug... it works for me on my seidio surface case.
