How to make custom Wallpapers?

I was wondering what dimensions an image would need to be in order to create (using photoshop) an image and export it to the Droid using the included USB cable.

Any and all help is much appreciated.

One small question.. Whenever I upload the image to my Droid and I go to set it as my wallpaper.. it gives me a sizing box that's about a third of what the full image should be.

How can I get around this?
