That doesn't sound right. If it's not being used u should definitely not be draining your entire battery within 8 hours. How much life do u get out of a full charge during a day of normal use? Is the screen staying on at night? any apps running all night long?

use airplane mode when you sleep, unless your job keeps you on call/notify of course.

granted, we use different phones, but my D2G uses less than 5% battery in an 8 hour period on airplane mode!!

The best thing to do would be to disable data. That way you can still get calls/txt.

Not sure how well that will work out. You could also try to condition the battery.

Download the app Bedside. It has settings to allow calls/not allow call and the same with texts. It is designed to be a bedside clock. But I plug my phone in every night when I go to sleep and I have bedside set to allow only emails to update with no notifications. I then put the screen to sleep as I don't need another alarm clock. When I wake up in the morning, I have a fully charged phone with all my emails and texts available. The second I unplug the phone, bedside returns all my settings to normal.
