It should be fine, but don't skip the backup steps. Youll with you had that just incase something does go wrong. You can still do the backup just fine on 1b. Only skip the terminal step your on.

You could try redownloading it maybe, or make sure your typing in the command correctly with the appropriate spaces and everything. Tell me how it goes.

    Hello
I am rooted and at step 5 trying to mount block3 in DRH. When I click mount block 3 and click allow it pauses and then a force close. Any ideas on what is wrong? I have tools in the root file on sd.

    Thanks
    Jim

doing this to get some "flash_image" thing it said i needed. when i type "adb shell" i get "device not found". my droid is NOT mounted (because that guide said to unmount) but IS connected. i tried it mounted and still "device not found".. is there something i need to set up in the SDK and AVD manager?

edit: had not added any packages.. give me a minute

Yea Jim I had the same prob as well.. FC and I had to reboot and make sure no cables were installed then press the mount for block3 in DRH.. waited a dialogue popped for root access to which I allow and remember and then got the OK. You should be good that way.

Are you sure your "TOOLS" directory is on your root drive of your sdcard?

I'm on step 7 of the instructions but i cannot instal busybox. It asks me to allow the action, and i do. Then the DRH doesn't respond and i get a FC message. I have been selecting the wait option but nothing is helping.
