Menu Button Reset, and Nexus One Wallpaper !!

    Hey guys,

JUst rooted my droid the other day and installed the Android 2.1 Rom (Thanks for the EASY instructions Z4pp, and Alldroid).. This is REALLY awesome, and I love the scrolling menu, AND the live wallpapers.... I have ONLY experienced 2 problems so far.

1- my phone will reset about 45% of the time when the menu button is touched from the home screen. Sometimes it goes to the scrolling menu, or it just freezes and resets...

2- The nexus one live wall paper just comes up white, no lines, or colors when touched... ALL of the other live wallpapers WORK GREAT, just not that one...

Has anybody else experienced this? Is there a way to fix it??? Any help or convo about these issues is greatly appreciated... -Thanks....

So I followed every tutorial out there (which there all the same). I download the update.zip which contains 2 folders (META-INF and system). I do not extract the folder, change the name to update or update.zip, put in into the droid sdcard not into a folder. now I unmounted the phone and restart it. power plus x get the ? plus traingle and then I hold the plus volume and the pic button then the menu comes up I click the apply sdcard:update.zip button. AND THIS COMES UP

    E:Cant't open /cache/recovery/command
    --Install from sdcard...
    Finding update package...
    Opening update package...
    E:failed to open /sdcard/update.zip
    no such file or directory
    E:signiture verification failed
    Installation aborted

Ive dowload mutilple files to make sure the file was not bad and I'm updated to 2.0.1 firmware\\my phone works fine after this, but its not rooted at least I think its not

I finally got it to mount (it still didn't say mount mtdblock 3) and I followed all the steps then rebooted into recover mode. Instead of getting the recover mode I get the Yield sign with a ! and a picture of the droid. If I hit the up/down volume and the camera button I go to the original recovery screen. I assume this is because I never mounted the mtdblock 3 though I don't really know how to mount it as it isn't given to me as an option.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Is there a mod that can re-update the OP? This thread is a nightmare. Less questions would arise if we had a working set of directions.
