there is also a widget called "no lock" that can turn it on and off with the touch of the widget if you wanna be able to easily turn it on and off...

Bump! "No Lock" disables draw pattern screen unlock -- FAIL.

Is there a way to turn off the swipe to unlock but keep the draw pattern to unlock screen?

Under security, enable "power button shows screen lock". This gets rid of swipe screen but allows pattern lock only..
