how to download pics via email (gmail)?

I sent myself a photo bc I want to download it on my Droid and use it as a wallpaper. I got the message, see the pic okay, but when I hit download, the thing just churns and nothing happens. It's a lo-res image, just 98k, what gives? I did it once before and it worked. What's the best way of doing this, and why is it not working as it should?

It is downloading you just don't notice it. Go into your gallery and look under "Downloaded Pictures" or something like that.

no, they're not downloading. I have 10 empty pics in gallery. For the 10 download attempt i made. And only one actual pic which I downloaded yesterday successfully, although not on the first try either. Why is this not working? it's a very small jpg file. thanks!

OK, i finally got it to work. turns out there are 2 download buttons, one above the shown pic and one below. Only the one below works. Go figure.

This may be unrelated, but i would also recommend the 'Save MMS' app for saving pics and video that are texted to you
