I want to use my cell phone, when I am out of country, but only on my wifi (wireless network at the apartment). I don't want the cellular service to ATT on at all. Is this possible how? I have researched and tried things and I am technical but no luck.

I am on Motorola Android Atrix OS ver 2.2.2

thanks iD... That worked splendidly. that is embarassing I didn't try that. I didn't try it because when I turned on airplane mode it killed my wifi connection, so I assumed it wouldn't come back on.. i Ass-umed wrong.

Is there some way to validate 100% that I am not using any data or voice connection to ATT (cellular provider)?

Call yourself from a landline. If your cell doesn't ring then u have no voice connection. Delete your wifi credentials then hit your browser. If u get nothing then you've got no at&t data either.
