How to copy a custom ringtone ?

Does anyone have a idea how to copy over a custom ring tone ?

From an old phone to a new phone? Hook your phone up to a computer and copy the file to the computer. Then hook your new phone up to the computer and put the file back on your phone. Or if you're using the same SD card transfer it that way. Or email the file to yourself and download it using your new phone. I'm sure there are other ways too.
