if you did a Fresh install and wiped every thing and come to find out you wanted to keep you data. you can restore you backed up data file.

turn off phone and reboot holding X
    backup/restore
    advanced nandriod restore
choose backup = choose what backup you want to restore from
make sure only data has the * next to it
    preform restore
when its done use power to go back and reboot

What you should've done......was back them up with Astro...

Then when you got done with installing BB, all you had to do was redownload Astro again....and then reinstall all your apps!! :)

I did back them up with astro, but how does re-installing the app restore my data, does astro restore data from backed up apps?

    EDIT:
so I just opened ASTRO went to Tools/application manager/Backup manager, it only displays the apps I have installed not the ones it already backed up.

I can locate the sdcard/backups/app/ and my APKs are there, but when I install from there it DOES NOT restore my data.

Mine restored data from my Pure Grid Calender widget....

After I restored my apps and went to put my widget back up, all of my days that had my events put on them, with times and schedules were on the calender still! And this was after I wiped data on my phone

Because the data from pure calendar is pulled from google calendar which is automatically backed up.

If you want to bring in just your apps and data via Nandroid simply do a restore and check ONLY data to restore.

Alternatively I use MyBackupPro which saves apps and data and gets about 95% of it saved. Titanium Backup does an even better job but it just didn't work well for me.
