I'm just curious how your SS 4.0 is running compared to BB 0.1 if anyone ran both of them? I'm on 0.1 now, and it's actually runing perfect (not much problems at all, everything works for me) but if this runs faster/smoother, i'll do the switch...

right now, with bb .1 my quadrant is at 1685, and pretty much no problems like I said.

should I do the switch over?

and I assume I can't get this from rom manager, and I can't use CW to install it correct?

I just see more support here from chevyno1 which is one of the reasons I might switch.

It is a nandroid install. Unzip the file and place the folder in your nandroid folder. Then reboot in spr and restore using the ss folder as the backup.

I'm using SS right now and couldn't be happier. I am overclocked to 1ghz and just got a quadrant score of 1234...

My scores are all over the place. I have gotten as high as 1631 and as low as 1390.

My Linkpack scores are mostly in the mid 19's though.

I'm running ss 4.0 now using ulow 1ghz and getting right around 1300 quadrant consistently. I was getting 1100 with bb 0.1 at the same frequency. Battery life is much better for me with ss, but I can't get flash working. Also my flashlight worked with bb but doesn't with ss.

    Ymmv of course...

Was on BB for a few days. I installed SS last night, and so far they seem on par with each other. The only thing I've noticed so far is SS battery life is much better than BB.

Must be KERNEL related, not ROM related, no?

It can be both - primarily kernel, but if a ROM leaves more apps running around in the background than another - that can kill a battery just as fast.

When I double-click on the downloaded file, this is what I see:

    boot
    nandroid.md5
    system

What do I extract to nandroid to install the ROM?

On your sdcard, in the nandroid folder, create another folder called SS4.0. Those files you just listed should be in that folder. Then boot into recovery and restore advanced, choose SS4.0. Let me know if that works for ya!

thx! much appreciated. I just like clockwok, and rom manager, so much easier to deal with (at least for me)

that being said, with clockwork, I knew how to install the 1.25 ulow kernel. when I just installed ur ROM, it put the 1ghz one on. I want to put the 1.25 back on there... how do I accomplish this with sprecovery?

I actually just flashed back to clockwork, and it's not booting up into recovery with it for some reason =/

can I not use clockwork with this ROM or something?
