I've tried it a few times, everytime unsucessful. Somebody who's done it please provide a step by step. Thanks!

Here you go:
Conference calls
To start a conference call, call the first number. After they answer, touch Add call and call the next number. When the next number answers, touch Merge call.
Tip: Before merging, you can switch back and forth between the two calls by touching .

Make a call, hit the add a call button, call it, at the top of your screen hit the merge calls button. Success!

Okay, Kids.

Have TRIED all three ways Droid says to do a conference call.

I'm no dope.

I'm here to say the call gets dropped when you try to "merge."

Moderator wants to "close thread."

Yeah, that's very helpful.

Guess what else?

The link the moderator says to use is a manual with DIFFERENT instructions than the customer service recording.

Moderator?

Please provide clear answer on how to do a 3-way-conference call.

This is sooo a 1990s feature of cell phones.

No 6 screen

The No. 6 screen NEVER shows up.

A small little circle that reads "merge" shows up instead, in upper lefthand corner.

When I hit it, the calls are dropped.

No. 6 screen NEVER shows up.

This Droid (this PARTICULAR ONE) is 8 days old.
