I'm an airhead with tech stuff and cannot figure out how to get something other than the droooiiid notification for both email and text. Do I have to go out to get more notification ringtones, or are there some stock available?

I'd like them to be different since texting is more of a priority for me. If I'm in the car, I have to know if my son texts, but I can skip email notifications, you know?

The Ego gods are smiling upon me. Finally a question I can answer. LOL.

Theres a decent amount stock but if you like there are plenty of free apps to get more tones (Zedge & Mabilo being my favorites).

I'm assuming you're probably still using the stockMessaging app. In order to change the tone open the app, press "menu" (the four horizontal lines on the bottom), go to settings, then press notification settings then select ringtones. Hope that helps.

Menu>Settings>Notification Settings>Select Ringtone

In each e-mail program (g-mail, e-mail) go to the inbox and then press the menu button at the bottom of your phone. Scroll down to notifications and turn off (or turn on and select notification ring tone, vibration, etc.).
