I'm not real big on roms, but after sholes disbanded or whatever my SMupdater is acting funky and I want to get rid of sholes until they fix their issue and switch to someone that will stay stable.

    Any help would be awesome.

Just reboot into recovery and restore your nandroid backup.

I've head the DMUpdater will remove the SMUpdater.

I can't confirm it, but that's what I've read a few times so far.

It didn't and after I downloaded DMupdater and went to applications in settings I don't see SMupdater do I can't uninstall it. -_- It's also not under downloads in the android market.

It still appears on active programs on advanced task killer though.

    Very, very interesting.

So you're saying you cannot see it anywhere on the phone, but your task killer 'sees' it?

Have you restarted your phone since SMUpdater was 'removed' or 'killed' in your task manager?

Trying killing the service and rebooting and see if it comes back on when you reboot the phone.

IF it does then honestly, since you have some anomalies, I would flash back to pre-sholes install using your nandroid backup, then work with the DMUpdater.

That's just what I would do. You might have to reinstall some things or set up a few settings that you might have changed since then, but it shouldn't be that big of a deal.

Then yeah, I would suggest using your pre-sholes install nandroid backup.

I would think that would get it off the phone completely.

Yeah I did that and its all gone. I now have the newest version of droidmod and I wish it would have the smoked glass theme in addition to live wallpaper.

Droidmod will no longer pack themes into their ROMs. You have to use Metamorph and download AdamaZ Smoked Glass Theme not ROM and install that and it will theme Droidmod ROM.
