How do I get rid of this notification icon??

i can verify it has to with contacts sync 2.2.1.
If I use titanium backup to freeze contacts sync 2.2.1 the constant sync in
the notification bar goes away. When i unfreeze the sync shows up pretty much right away.
So my main issue right now is finding out if I need to have contacts sync 2.2.1
running or can I just keep it frozen via titanium.
what exactly is it trying to sync?? Does it affect Gmail contacts?
Anybody know the real deal? I am banging my head over this tiny issue.

I think I have fixed it. It is definitely an issue when you use titanium backup after an sbf or fresh install. I went ahead and did a factory reset. After that I went into titanium and individually restored each app along with its data if it had any. Been about 1 hour now and no constant sync icon.
Hopefully it sticks and if anyone else has this issue they now no why and what to do.
