How come photos do not fill screen anymore?

I was wondering if everyone's photos show up smaller on the screen. They used to fill the entire screen. So far I am not liking ICS.

The only time it appears smaller is if i took the pic at a side view. You can simply put one finger to the top and another finger on the bottom of the pic and turn 90 degrees.
