I've seen a few pics of transparent versions of the stock power control and news/weather widgets...can I get these if I'm rooted on 2.0.1?

    EDIT: Like this:

Yes you can sir. That was probably just the smoked glass theme. You can apply it yourself with Metamorph, or you can flash a new custom ROM like AdamZ's smoked glass ROM. Or like I said, just use his theme by itself

yes you can I don't have the links but if you use the search I am sure can find those nakked apk files and instructions on how to install them.

sorry I can't help you out more right now, but I am tired and going to bed so for me to link you to them would require me to search and find them just like you can do

EDIT: Nate I think he's talking about Naked background widgets. instead of a smoked look its 100% nekked

I was hoping there was an easier way, perhaps just a standalone apk?
I actually just found the standalone transparent news/weather widget in another thread (http://www.droidforums.net/forum/at...et-nexus-one-dump-geniewidget-transparent.zip) but I still haven't found the transparent power control...if anyone has a link I'd really appreciate it

EDIT: spoke too soon...the transparent one above removes the background altogether...not what I wanted :/

I really don't think you'll find one for Power Control. Since that is /system app, you will need root to change the files...

If you're already rooted, I'm telling Metamorph is the simplest way to go. I have the theme file I believe. Metamorph is in the Market for free

If you want to see absolute transparency the MM them 24K Gold actually has the entire background of the power control transparent. Although it sounds cool, in my opinion its actually really annoying since the individual buttons seem to blend too much into the background.

If you are asking about the smoked glass widgets from the original post they can be found in this forum.
Search on "Smoked widget" and you will have a number of options.

Here is the result for i.e. Smoked Pandora and smoked audio widget.
News is stock and power widget, I believe, came as part of AdamZ's Smoked Glass ROM. Can't remember for sure.
