DMupdater won't work with Cyanogen.

What you can do to make it easy is load a ROM that uses sprecovery via update.zip, then you canuse dmupdater

If you are running Cyanogen, are you using the CMRecovery? If so, you can use that to flash the SPRecovery image. If for some reason you don't have CMRecovery, download ROM Manager-free from the market.

Can you flash sprecovery with the free version? I haven't used it in a while and totally forgot about it as an option. But yeah if you got ROM manager go that route.
