How can I add an accoun to the market? Anyone?

Hey everyone I've been having a problem n I recently found about it today...so when I want to buy or rent a movie in the market it doesn't let me. For some reason...when u click on the payment method it tell me either credit card n the other option is my number since before I had tmobile I had that account it shows tmobile so I guess I can't but anything off the market can someone help me? Plz
