Yes, I have lots of questions. I've been lusting after my my son's 2013 X for quite some time and knew I would get the next version, but I always like to hear others impressions. So....Love it, Like it, Returning it? Pros and/or Cons?

not a single reply on how anybody likes their MotoX14 so far ? well I can understand how few MotoX14 owners might be hanging out writing on a DROID Forum.. I am.. because of the MotoX14. This website sure isn't like it was back in the hay day of th original droid. wow those were some intense device communication times ..seemed like everyone had experiences and input to offer .. guess th masses just got over it and moved on.. or maybe they are in another area of the forum gushing about their turbo.. 2 each their own. . and that that was exciting became th norm. Moto X 14 brings the excitement back 4 me. Sure, your in control as th operator of ur device.. however.. when ur device can activly assist u & lend towards u accomplishing those task u use the device 2 do.. it's a whole new game. I like my Moto X 14 helping me out.. automatically answers my calls.. answers my texts.. read them back to me asking how I would like to reply.. without me having to do anything whatsoever.. it knows I'm driving.. voice activated on demand without me even having to touch it... it is partially made of wood ( bamboo ) for excellent finger traction and built-in moto dimple for device orientation.. it has infrared sensors so I never have to use the power button 2 get it's attention.. it has multiple microphones for noise cancellation yeiding crystal clear conversation.. as an artist machinist my hands are periodically not in a condition that I should operate a device least doing some serious permanent damage to it. Perfect now Moto X 14 keeping me connected hands free.. follows my email and my calendar automatically setting appointments ..it is completely discreet and quiet when I'm in meetings because it knows I'm in a meeting.. it takes notes.. sets reminders all by voice.. battery life is screaming excellent in my opinion.. averaging about 18 to 20 hours with about 20 to 40 percent battery left after about 4 to 5 hours of screen time. seamlessly syncs with all my known wifi and Bluetooth. vanilla smooth Android .. beautiful display .. incredibly sharp vibrant picture shooter with just the flick of the wrist.. so far I like every single thing about the Moto X 14 .. I cannot imagine a more satisfying connection device but I'm sure it's coming because they designed it yesterday and it will be made by Motorola .. peace

I've never seen this phone anywhere. Not in a store, not in the wild. It's amazing too considering every single review that I have read gives it great marks.

r u correcting me refering th Motorola Moto X 2nd Generation as a MotoX14 ?? I can hardly believe a droid forums super modulator staff member has never seen or heard of this device. I'm fairly certain u have & ur remark therefore is a pretentious and condescending belittlement of my ignorance of not using th droidforums correct terminology. Wow .. if that's th case then you really told me .. you really put me in my place .. I stand corrected sir.. 4give me 4 so ignorantly calling my Motorola Moto X 2nd Generation a MotoX14. Doesn't matter doesn't really mean a dam thing .. and certainly doesn't change th fact that this MotoX14 is one fantastic peice of hand held convenience .. anyway peace 2 u

I believe @Mechanicat is referring to the Moto X released in 2014. I have not heard of it referred to as the MotoX14 either.

I did not say that I have never heard of it. I'm not sure where that is coming from?

I was saying that I have never seen the phone with my eyes. Not inside of a store and not in anyone's hands.

And yes... I agree. It is a great phone.

please 4give me Ollie. I miss interpreted ur words as being sarcastic in that u were pretending not 2 know what a Motorola MotoX 2nd Generation ( or as I and apparently a small circle of others call it MotoX14 ) was. I understand now what u wrote that being u have not yet physically seen, operated or experiened a MotoX14. I apologize I assume all the moderators and staff members here have dissected and used these devices discussed here in great detail .. such apparently is not the case. I can assure you when u do find th opportunity to get your hands on th Motorola MotoX 2nd Generation it will not disappoint. I have everything checked so it learns as we go. At th beginning it was a little rough as it did not do the things I would ask it either from it not understanding me or myself not understanding the correct command to say but over time my MotoX14 assits me incredibly well & understands pretty much anything I ask it 2 do. an absolutely incredibly fantastic device.. everything that I've written here tonight was all voice activated by my Moto X 14 ..I hope u get an opportunity 2 experience it soon .. peace

Between all of us we have used most of the devices represented here. I have multiple devices myself along with many others.

The MotoX14 is a nice phone that often gets overlooked by the mainstream media. Their new Nexus looks great too, but for myself it is too big. If I were to buy a Motorola it would be this one.

Three people in my office have the new X, and all love it. I've also seen at least five in my travels. I have had mine for about a month. Best phone I have ever owned.

EDIT: I can't blame mainstream media too much, Motorola simply has no strong advertising for this. That's why so many people don't even know the thing exists.

It was also released right before a flood of other major devices - iPhone 6/6 Plus, Note 4, Droid Turbo, Nexus 6. It really seems like it was lost in the shuffle, especially with Motorola releasing two other devices so soon after it (and two devices that many would argue are superior in several ways).

I played around with one at my local Verizon store. It really does seem like a great device that improves upon everything about the great 2013 version.

I've used this at the verizon store a few times, I'm pretty disappointed. It's always laggy and when it's not, it's just not fast enough. I'd overlook all of that if it had a 2 day battery. I was also gonna get a Turbo but I was just as disappointed, although it was definitely faster.
I'm stuck on my S4 for now and prob gonna wait out the M9. Those HTC phones hold their value.

Those store display phones are usually terrible in regards to user performance. You can tell tech heads don't work there.

Consumers are well aware of the Moto X 2ng gen, but they are more likely familiar with the Moto G or Moto E, and they likely are not from the US. Motorola Mobility has a global reach. While the OG Moto X was awesome (I have one), the Moto G and Moto E also did real well due to the quality vs price point.

The Moto X2 is a great phone on paper, and if it is as good as the first one, then I think Motorola will be happy with it's sales. Under Lenovo's ownership I hope to see high adoption rates with the proper advertising.

Keep in kind most of Lenovo's sales are not in the US smartphone market.

I jumped on the first 2k display phone with the lg g3 when it first launched. It was a okay phone but just large to me anyways. Plus, for some odd reason nobody could hear me on speaker phone. Typing with SwiftKey on the lg g3 was really slow. Sold it and got the Droid Turbo on launch day. It was better than my lg g3 but just to Damn heavy. Battery was good but I don't like the idea of the turbocharger. Phone got hot when charging. So at that time I ordered the Moto x 2014 for my wife. Played with her phone and I really liked it. It's as close to vanilla Android as you can get. Phone runs smooth and I can get through a whole day on a full charge. Which is all I need. So I I swapped phones with my wife. She has my Droid turbo 64gig and I have her 16gig Moto x 2014. I don't take many pics and have just enough music for me. Love this phone.
