But then you don't get the added Gmail interface, just the generic email interface of the Droid.

would that be you setup your hotmail account to forward to your gmail account :p

pop3 setup
A new way to get Hotmail on your phone - Windows Live

and if you are using the website to read your email, try mobile.live.com if you haven't already =)

No, actually. I logged in to Gmail to have Hotmail forward to it. I didn't log in to Hotmail and tell it to forward to Gmail. It does the same thing.

ahh ic, the mail fetcher found under your gmail 'settings' >> 'Accounts and Import' Tab >> 'Add POP3 email account' button

That's a nice work-around

I know I am reviving an old thread, but I do have a slight problem with hotmail on my droid (kangerade).

I do have hotmail working on my droid using the right settings. The problem is that when I recieve an email, I keep on reciving it over and over.

For example, lets say I recieve an email from netflix with the subject "We have recieved this movie". I go into the email app and mark that as read or deleted. Then 15 minutes later it says I have received a new email from netflix, its the same email from earlier. Even after I read or delete it, it still says that I keep on receiving the message every time it syncs. This happens to any email sent to my hotmail, and it does not do the same for my gmx account (IMAP).

I don't have any premium paid thing for hotmail and its an @msn.com address.

What is going on with my email?
