I don't think its beautiful widgets I have that too. Idk what is causing the drain? My screen is usually down to 60 or auto.

ok, last night my battery drained all the way... I did the same thing as the night before, made sure sync was off, ringer off, screen brightness at 60%(altho why this would make a difference when the screen is off anyway, I have no clue)... so something is really sucking my battery dry... I refuse to give up, I will figure this out eventually with the help of all the wonderful people here at droid forums of course ;)...

Cara, wouldn't it be simpler to just buy an extended battery?

    Mike,
I would just but an extended battery, but I am afraid the problem will persist, unless I can figure out what is draining my battery...I do have an extra standard battery, and between the 2 I would think I could make it a whole day, but that is not the case right now...

I am at a loss. Not sure what is going on. When you go into about phone and then battery usage, what does it say is using the most? Could be 2 bad batteries maybe?

Its not a "rating", its a percentage. Your display is only "off" when the phone is as well. Display is ALWAYS #1 unless you have something else going on. :)

Thanks for the info Droid DOES!!... I am wondering why if my screen is off at night(after it times out) why my battery would drain overnight with data and ringer off... nothing should be running then, if the phone is "sleeping"... I assume it is sleeping just like my computer does when it goes to sleep... I can understand using a little battery, the phone is still powered on, but a whole battery for 10 hours at most, with it asleep is crazy.

I would think because it does it with both standard batteries that it has to be an issue with the hardware of my phone...I have been thru all the fixes(clearing stats, turning everything off,etc...) that I can safely assume it is the phone right?

Yes it looks like bayouflyfisher did a good write up on the other thread.

Your battery usage screens look ok to me. Screen percentage looks a tad high though.

Ok I have tried everything that BayouFlyFisher suggested in the "frustrated thread", including putting screebl on my phone and I also bought tasker and have tried making profiles in that...still having major battery drain when the screen is off at night...any more thoughts or suggestions? Can this post be moved to tech issues?
    Thanks

Me again. You are not running an auto task killer or anti virus of any sorts are you?

You have tried a lot that should have worked. I am beginning to think there is a hardware or battery problem of some sort, but I do not know. Make a post in the other thread to see if Bayouflyfisher has any ideas.

Also maybe try a different rom...I am not saying its the rom at all, but just to troubleshoot I would try wiping cache/data, and install another rom entirely. Make sure you have a nandroid backup. You will loose your apps and data though and will have to reinstall. Only install the necessary apps and wipe batt stats on a full charge. Use the roms stock kernel, and see how battery lasts over night. If it works then you can start adding apps back to see if it is an app causing the drain. Maybe try metickone's frg83d.

But first I would see if bayou has any ideas if he is available, he is more knowledgeable than me. Secondly try a new rom (if you feel its necessary) just to test for drain. Thirdly I would buy a brand new battery that you can return if you are still having the problem.
