I'm running the liquid frozen yogurt rom with the galaxy s theme and my battery life has been horrible. I checked my battery status, and display is taking up 74% . What's wrong? Can someone help me?

Not sure if I can help you; depends on what you're wanting. I found LFY to have decent batt life. A few quick ??s:
Are you using a fast kernel? If so, are you using SetCPU to govern your cpu speed when you don't need it - ie screen off?
How much are you using your Droid right now, playing around or just firing up & admiring your sweet new theme? 74% display use sounds like you may be using the device quite a bit...
Does your screen turn off in the normal 1-2 minute timeframe? Screen lock working properly? It's not randomly turning on in your pocket, right?
I found my batt life sucks always right after flashing a new ROM, maybe the kernel settling in, but most likely me f'n with it, tweaking screens, surfing DroidForums, whatever....give it a few days.

So you are using the screen on it. Which is why the screen is so heavy on battery use. The processor kernel included may be faster than what you were using before.

Also, I'm using a ROM right now where I can get from 7am to 9pm with 70% battery left. Quite impressive.

Does the screen stay on while you are playing music? It shouldn't. Are you constantly firing it up to switch tracks? The more you use it (ie screen on) the more batt life you're going to suck out of it.
Do a search & check out Setcpu app, specifically profiles.
Stock kernel on LFY is an interactive 1Ghz slayher IIRC, which is way faster than stock, and thirsty!

You're using your phone too much. :)

Let me explain. While you didn't say exactly what "horrible" means, the display is using 73% of your overall battery drain. That means you're playing a game or browsing the webs or reading a book or something display-intensive for very extended periods of time.

    The display is a battery-killer.

It isn't a huge help, but I noticed that I saved a bit of battery life, by turning the screen as dim as it'll go, and leaving the auto-brightness feature turned off. That and leaving the screen off whenever I'm not using it.

Wow, i I have to try that Rom. I've used lfy and cm with slayher and I think its the same. Same smoothness and same low battery life. I use setcpu, and personally stay away from the interactive governor. Too too thirsty. Though kernels seem to make a huge diff, I wouldn't go with out setcpu.

I just flashed the same theme on lfy so I will be checking to see if there is extra battery drain. I did notice that tweetdeck can no longer update my facebook account.
