You are not insane, at least no yet. For me if the app I launch the QSB from rotates, then the QSB will rotate.
Homescreen Orientation

Orientation.
Seen a lot on here that say the home screen will not and has never changed orientation without the keyboard open. I came here looking for answers because mine quit working when on the home screen.
My wife and I both got Motorola Droid last week. Her phone started not rotating on the home screen. These phones DID!!!!! rotate to landscape when we got them without the keyboard open on the home screen!! Mine was still working and we were going to take hers back because it was broke so I DO Know the differents for those that think that it never worked!!!
We just got one of the Multimedia Stations to use the phone as an alarm clock. I put my phone into this thing and orientation never worked since!
Guess that I'm not going to get any answers here till argueing about it ever doing that stops.
