home screen quick icons gone. Wheres waldo

Running Froyo, setting up home screen icons, long press on the bottom icons, the ones that have .. phone, menu, web. moved and let go, now they are gone.

Where did they go.... can not get back to the full icon screen, can not find where to re add... I can add a short cut to the home screen, then press, hold and drag to the botton to keep a permanent quick icon, but can not find how to re-add the lower center icon (looks like multi button, like a phone dial pad)

Can some one please help... thanks guys.

Well, a couple of questions: Have you installed a 3rd party launcher or are you stock?

Have you tried to long press where the icon should be and does it give you any options?

All stock Froyo. I have tried long press. Same options as long press on the main screen. I can dock the phone and web icons at the bottom thru long press and drag. But can not find the icon to go to screen that shows all icons.
Strange...
