I heard about a home screen app that's supposed to be something like a satellite view of your current location. I'm not sure exactly what it is or how it works. Anyone familiar with it? What is it and how well does it work? It sounds interesting and I'd like to give it a try.

I think it uses Google maps as a background.

That's the one but unfortunately it doesn't work on my Note 2. I just get some alternating flickering screens as it loads, then a second or two of blue screen, then a blank black screen. I'll look at some of the others and see what I find. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

The one I use on my Maxx is called "Maps" but I can't find it in the play store. For some reason I seem to remember that it was installed on my phone when I got it.
Do you have Google maps installed on you phone, perhaps it's included?
