Press icon, wait, drag down towards app drawer which changes into a trash can, when the icon under your finger turns red - drop it. N.B. This removes it from your home screen. To delete an app - go into Settings, find the applications submenu, and follow the instructions there.

Homescreen delete

How do I delete contacts and apps off of my homescreen? I deleted a contact and it stayed on my homescreen.

All the screen is, is like a desktop and the shortcuts are just like icons or "doorways" to programs... you can delete the program but the door is still there and it leads to nowhere.

Once you press and hold, only then will the trashcan appear in the lower right.

Thanks!! I have been trying to figure that out all afternoon. I got double icons somehow and wanted to get rid of the extras.

Long press on them, then drag to trash can at the bottom of the screen.

Guaranteed impossible?

If the previous tip doesn't work, let us know. But that is how it is done.

Confused by the subject of this thread.

Merged, One Thread is Enough....

Merged Again, Why 3 threads on the same issue?

Please don't cross-post or double/triple post.
