home screen app icons come and go

hey everyone..
I am not sure of the cause.. but whenever i go into larger apps and hit the home button, my home screen comes up but is not populated with anything, the only function i have is to hit the menu button and get my apps list up then hit home screen again and my home apps will all re-appear.
i have researched with for a while to no avail. any thoughts are appreciated.

My first impression is that your launcher is to blame. Sounds like the apps don't load quickly or properly. Considering wiping your device's cache through the stock recovery. That should help the device run smoother. Try clearing the cache and/or data from your launcher. Also consider getting a better launcher. Nova Pro is my launcher of choice.

Thanks for the reply reply. I went into the stock recovery and wiped the partition cache cache. It did change anything. I used the root exploit for the razr on jellybean. It is weird say iI go into the chive app. Once I hit the home screen there are no icons on the home screen. if iI go into my menu (apps) then back home they all come back.. totally lost
