Now that the "Dads & Grads" sale is over, Verizon's website lists the Razr Maxx at $299 and Razr for $199, both sitting next to the SGS3:

I suppose there will be folks who will still want the Maxx at $100 more than the SGS3, but I can't imagine that many will...

Looks like another "money grab" from big red. People that want to upgrade before the 28th will have to pay the price

You're right, Garemlin...and while I would pick the still-mythical Droid Razr HD over the SGS3, under the circumstances (and deadlines), I'm going to have to choose the Galaxy over the Maxx. The bigger screen is the main thing for me.

Just remember the bigger screen is only a benefit when viewing full screen video. You lose some screen to the onscreen buttons. Take the Galaxy Nexus. It has a 4.65" screen. But when you add in the space taken up by onscreen buttons it is pretty much a 4.3" screen. I guess with the SIII you will still be getting more usable screen real estate than the Maxx or RAZR HD.

Why not do what many of us are doing. Buy the SIII now and flip it immediately. That will lock your unlimited. Take that money and use that towards the RAZR HD when it comes out.
