Do you think the droid 2 is considered a high end smartphone? Or not anymore?
Just curious

Not sure what one considers high end but the Droid 2 is a very solid phone. You can root etc.

It has one of the best processors on the market out now...so yes it's definitely high end. Soon the newer processors will come out and it won't be top end anymore, but still be one of the best.

Until something considerably better comes along it is.
Show me anything on any carrier that blows it away

Wen comparing to other smart phones like Blackberry, Windows, the D1 is a high end phone. I like my D2, it's customizable and runs great.

Like Hook said, even the Droid 1 is still a high-end phone. To me, a high-end phone is one with a minimum of a Cortex A8 processor core and a 480x800 or higher screen res.

It better be. It fulfills the minimum requirements for gingerbread. Its a top of the line phone in verizons Droid line up. Im certain the Droid x will be getting gingerbread, why not the Droid 2 since they're almost identical?

The d2 improves on the droid in every way except in installing roms. Oh and wireless tether is alot faster than Ad-hoc.

I don't really install roms so I guess it inproves in every way for me. I always liked how the droid 1 didn't have the lip, and it was black. But that's just my opinion

I had the droid 1 and switched to the droid2. I keep an otterbox on it so the color dont matter. The droid 1 headphone jack cuts out constantly, the keyboard is flat. The droid 2 improved on that and is a better device as far as hardware.
