Hi all from hot, muggy and wet South Florida. MotoDroid user for 30 days, tried to figure things out (trial and error) on my own and realized ... dum-de-dum-dum... could not. Started googling for HELP and found this forum!

Read somewhere needed ATK, Advanced Task Killer to save battery charge. Downloaded it ... NOW trying to figure out settings! When I open ATK and it gives me list of my apps, I click on them and it clears; five minutes later they are back!

Question: Is ATK the correction application to kill running application I am not using to save battery charge? And if yes, what setting to stop them from running?

Thanks,

As abe said, Android needs no task killers

Agreed. The best tech support advice I can give for ATK is to uninstall it. It fights with the internal task management built into the OS and simply causes more overhead. Android is a Linux OS, with a Linux OS if it needs memory, it will intelligently allocate it.
