Hey, so about this whole root thing...

    Droid X and Droid 2 have the same OS. That stupid BLUR bull.

    Would rooting be the same way? I mean, if the framework was the same as the X, I should be able to do it by typing through a Terminal Emulator from the market, right?

    I'm thinking that because the framework controls different hardware per phone, and the coding for this hardware control is different per phone, the answer to this question might be "No."

    ...but I figured I'd ask, since there are so many more people that are Android-smarter than me. lol.

    not the same

    its not the exact same but would it be pretty similar?
    would figuring out how to root the droid x significantly help rooting the droid 2?

    Not really, moto patched the hole we used to root the droid x with froyo on the droid 2.
