drivers are components so ur computer can read ur phone. download here
Motorola Verizon Droid X USB Drivers & PC Charging Drivers Download | Verizon Cell Phones | Blog about Verizon Phones

the zip file should come with a flash.ini file that needs to replace the stock one. go to my computer>C drive> program files>Motorola> RSD lite and replace the stock one thats in there (this is the directory RSD works out of so it needs this file to see ur DX)

What step do I replace the stock one with flash.ini? Those steps I posted is the right sbf? Correct? and Is this like a super reset? Im really greatful for the help...This is just driving me crazy and I feel like I cant take it to verizon because of this..Thanks

heres a link on how to use RSD lite. just know its written for the D1, not the DX

http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-labs/73579-using-rsd-lite-flash-sbf-file-correctly.html

Does this still apply to these steps

  1. Download RSD Lite (credit to MyDroidWorld)
  2. Install the RSDLite 4.7 program by double clicking on the program.
  3. Move the pst_flash.ini file into the following folder --> Program Files/Motorola/RSDLite
  4. Install the drivers that apply to your Operating System.
  5. Unzip the SBF into a folder. (Download Above)
  6. Open RSD Lite and find the UNZIPPED SBF
  7. Put your Motorola Droid X into bootloader. (turn phone off and hold volume down and the camera button while pressing the power button)
  8. Click start and sit back.
The link about rsd is just a more in depth explaination of step 6-8 correct??????????? and how do you do bootload on DX?
