I have done some research for a similar problem, found something close but didn't help me. http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-rooted-help/70762-help-moto-droid-slightly-bricked.html these are the same problems i'm having, just arrived in a different way. Here's what happened: Followed Instructions to manually install 2.2 without rooting. It worked, but I had the older FRG10 or something similar build. I wanted to root, so I started following the instructions here. http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-hacks/71939-how-get-root-after-2-2-ota-update.html And here http://www.droidforums.net/forum/rescue-squad-guides/39254-sbf-root-unroot.html I was trying to load SPRecovery to my Droid1 using RSD lite. I think the battery must have died midway through, because it started a reboot, then, like the above poster noted, continued a boot loop with the same error. While it's on there is the red crossed out battery and no service. If the phone is plugged in, it will boot loop, no matter what. There is no Charge Light. I can boot into SPRecovery, but there is no good build to revert to. I can get to program mode (up on D pad + power) but it flashes Cannot Program Battery Low My strategy to fix this is to buy a battery charger for JUST the battery, give it a charge, then flash 2.0.1. Want to root from there. Will this work? Am I wasting my time? From what I've gathered I can fix the problem, but any advice would be greatly appreciated.
