I understand that the OTA update may have been halted due to errors. Should I still update manually though?

I've been using the update for a few days now without any problems sans one, swype did not work. swype is aware of the issue. all i had to do is uninstall swype and then reinstall it. I do notice a substantial performance increase on my droid 1. so i'd say yeah, do it.
