My friend sent a sound to me via text. I long clicked it and saved the sound. Save was successful. I can't find it anywhere.

I also emailed it to myself and saved it to my SD card but can't figure out how to find it to set it as a notification sound.

So I found out how to find it in the music application that's stock on the phone. I went to it and then hit menu and it let me set it as a ringtone, but not a notification sound. Can I do this. If so how.

Someone, anyone?

Thanks in advance.

That worked. Thanks Pandroid. Is there not a way to do it without an app though. If not that's lame.

android doesnt scan your entire SD for media to be able to use it as ringtone/notification. i dont believe there is a way to set through the music app either

i dont know, ive used aRing for a while and it does the job fine
