Ok imma try my best to explain my situation bare with me :)

I love the Nex Theme alot and I use it for every rom but I like to change little things here and there on the framework. Usually ill copy over the drawable-hdpi then copy it back into the framework-res.apk and then push the framework file onto the phone.

Well for this rom ive ran into a problem. (Ultimate Droid 1.0.0) I have repeatedly tried pushing the file onto the phone and everytime I do it just boot loops. I have the drawable-hdpi folder if someone can help me port it for that rom.

If you needa know anything else to help out just lmk.

    File download is here.

    Sincerely,
    Kingpg

I think some of the framework folder names are a little different from the norm for whatever reason.

So it's trying to push to a folder with a slightly different name. That's my guess based on hearing others trying to port themes and such.

I'm not a Dev but that's what I would check first.

I would say to make sure the files/folders you are pushing have the same name/format as the ones you are replacing in the ROM. Crack open the ROM zip and check I guess.

Like I said its just a guess.

Sorry king...I shoulda let someone qualified help you. My bad, I try to give back to DF because I've gotten so much from here.

Someone will know for sure here somewhere. It sounded similar to a situation I heard a themer discuss recently and thought it may be the same.

From what I can see you edit4ed the activity_title_bar.9.png and that's most likely your problem, .9 pngs have seperate properties and most of the time you can edit them but that particular .9.png is a cause of what you're describing...

Try pulling another drawable-hdpi from the ROM itself, place it in whichever folder, then delete the activity_title_bar.9.png that you altered in the folder you uploaded, and copy the remaining PNGs over to the drawable-hdpi folder you just pulled from the UDv1.0.0 ROM....
so what I'm saying is that you're going to overwrite everything 'except' the activity_title_bar.9.png on that newly pulled drawable folder... then just repack into the framework-res.apk and push back to your phone...
try that and see if it takes...

If you feel you must edit that PNG, there is an xUltimate tool for that, which I haven't used...

instead of copying over and back, can you try just dragging the edited files into the apk? in other words don't unzip the apk and rezip...just drag edited files into the drawable-hdpi folder through 7zip

I'll take another look at your drawable-hdpi folder later when I get back... might have another file not renamed right and is needed by the system, that'd be my guess. I don't have UDv1.0.0 loaded on either of my Droids currently to check quickly...

don't drag the folder...drag the individual files...

    [1] download UD's framework-res
[2] open it in winrar don't unzip
[3] navigate to res>drawable-hdpi in winrar don't unzip
[4] drag edited pngs from your desktop to that folder
    [5] copy framework to phone
    [6] restart

i dont know if winrar is the same as 7zip, but the point is not to unzip or zip up the apk, or remove any folder from it and drag it back in. just drag the edited files and overwrite them into the unzipped apk.

i use apkmanager to do my edits, so i dont know if this will work or not but worth a shot.

He wouldn't need APK Manager for image editing, so doing it the way he's doing is about the quickest...
however @kingpg... you appear to have inserted all kinds of size variances to a lot of the images which is likely your main issue now, ....was there any reason that you changed the dimensions of many of the PNGs, especially a lot of the .9 PNGs?
